Text-to-Video using Invedeo AI
The rendering of the background is extremely clunky, but the AI-generated script and voiceover seem promising; however, I can’t get a Title slide to work, nor can I add credits or a link to the website at the end.
I need to work on this a bit more before ponying up for a watermark-free subscription, but it’s certainly intriguing.
Where is this leading?
I gave up on using ChatGPT to create content over 18 months ago, and Bing Image Creator still struggles with rendering text, but after seeing a couple of AI-generated sci-fi videos, I started to investigate e.g. Notebook LM and a range of audio-synthesis tools. I’m not yet won over by any of them, but things are now progressing at breakneck speed.
This stuff for the time being therefore remains firmly in the experimental phase of its development — in particular, I am still trying to find a platform which will allow me to clone my own voice and use it to read a script in a video. The closest I have come so far is with

and the intonation / timing of the voiceover isn’t all that convincing.
Quite frankly, for all it’s shortcomings and limited reach, I still prefer writing long-hand blog articles in Medium, because I habitually include multiple images and embedded videos, and it gives me greater editorial control (including amendments, corrections and versioning).
Video — perhaps by trying to build out a Youtube channel — might reach a wider audience, and Podcasts or Audiobooks might make some of the content more accessible, but as the main reason for me dumping my thoughts onto the internet is to create a record for my own personal entertainment and future reminiscence, how other people get to access it or what they make of it in any given format is not really a major concern.
(Some people may think that writing a blog is a bit of a vanity project, evidence of incipient narcissism, or an attempt to broadcast a message or advance a viewpoint. If so, they are going to be really disappointed with my vapid ramblings, because truth to be told I would far prefer it if nobody else ever bothered to read — let alone to opine — on my inane scribblings).
